Julian
A. Simonis has been a member of the California State
Bar since 1984. He is a civil litigator.
Mr.
Simonis attended the University of Toronto before graduated
cum laude from UCLA in 1981. He received his JD from Southwestern
Law School. As a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada,
Mr. Simonis is also a Barrister & Solicitor in and for
the Province of Ontario, Canada. He is admitted to practice
in all California state courts and all Ontario provincial
courts, as well as the United States District Court, the Ninth
Circuit Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court of Canada.
While
practicing law in Canada, Mr. Simonis was a civil litigator
at one of Canada’s premier plaintiff personal injury
firms, Howie, Sacks & Henry.
Both
in the United States and Canada, Mr. Simonis has extensive
and wide-ranging experience with all aspects of serious tort
litigation, including product defects, insurance bad faith,
civil rights enforcement, governmental liability and economic
torts. In addition, he is a veteran business and real estate
litigator. He has tried to verdict or judgment more than 40
matters in California state court, U.S. District Court, and
the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
Mr.
Simonis is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California,
the American Association for Justice, the Los Angeles County
Bar Association, the Ventura County Bar Association, the Ventura
County Trial Lawyers Association, and the Ontario Trial Lawyers
Association.
